BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Seoul, Korea, and moved to study in the U.S. in 1972.
Lived in Los Angeles for 10 years.
Married and moved to Texas in 1984.
Led the fundraising activity on behalf of the Houston Korean community for the Korean Art Gallery at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston from 2004 to 2007. Served on the Board of Trustees at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston since 2007 - 2013.
Presently creating art at the Winter Street Studio and involved with the MFAH, Houston. Exhibiting in the United States, Asia, and Europe while maintaining Matthews Art Studio in Houston, TX.
